Rosehip Mole asked
Could an alien really look like a blueberry?

1the question
Here's a fun what-if: could an alien actually look like a blueberry — round, blue, squishy? Let's think like a real scientist about it.
2why round
Round bodies actually make sense — a sphere has the least surface area for its size, so it loses heat slowly. Good for a cold planet.
3why blue
Why blue, though? On Earth blue pigment is rare — but on a planet circling a red dwarf star, a blue pigment might catch the most light, like our chlorophyll catches sunlight here.
4the catch
But real biology fights against a simple sphere: you need a mouth, eyes to sense danger, legs or fins to move — a plain ball can't do much.
5the payoff
So the real answer: a life form could be round and blue for good chemical reasons, but it would still need bumps, stalks, and sensors sticking out — a blueberry with legs, not a plain berry.
So a blueberry alien isn't silly at all — it's a decent guess about color and shape, just missing the legs and eyes it would still need to survive.
